Dyson’s Vanity Project

All across the Cotswolds, huge huge swathes, and I really mean huge swathes, of dry stone walling is being repaired, relaid, rebuilt; quarry's have opened to get increased quantities of Cotswold stone to be able to undertake the work. I’ve ascertained that it is all being funded by James Dyson, he of the Dyson ‘Dual Cyclone Bagless Cleaner” fame. He has commissioned so much of it, that the dry stone wallers work for him for 3 months, then they attend to other landowners for the next month, otherwise ordinary farmers would not get their walls repaired.

I don’t Particularly care for James Dyson; I don’t know him, have never met him, but I do question the people who campaigned so strongly for Brexit, like Dyson did, given he’d moved his entire manufacturing business out of the UK to the far east years ago. Maybe he’s rebuilding the walls to salve his conscience?

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
I think he gets very annoyed when his machines are called hoovers!!! Interesting narrative, great lead line

The wall is wonderful. I really enjoyed your narrative. I’m sure the corona virus has impacted his business.

I like the contrast between the old and new. It must be a costly project to undertake!
