Today’s appearance from the garden for purple is this beauty of a Hyacinth which I found hiding in the Hydrangeas.
Popped out today to the local farm shop. Very surreal, with the roads so quiet. They had everything we needed; bread, milk, vegetables and meat. You disinfect your hands before going in, only 5 people allowed at any one time, contactless payment. I thanked the two girls on the cash tills as I left for what they were doing; one burst into tears as apparently I was the only one who had said that to them all week.
This thing has brought out the best in some people and the worst in others.
Beautiful flower shot. Having those beauties around helps bring out a smile. So sorry to hear the workers aren’t being thanked. If I have to go out I will keep that in mind. Glad you were able to get groceries.
Lovely shot. And yes I have to agree with you we are seeing the best and the worst here in South Africa too. There are even some irresponsible people who have tested positive but will not remain in self quarantine! There is talk now of charging them with attempted murder.
