These have now been grilled, slathered with butter raspberry jam and devoured.
Carole is supposed to be on leave, but like yesterday, she has done an extra shift at the nursing home this morning due to staff sickness. I used my time well; after a very nice full english breakfast, I then cleaned the birdbaths, rubbed down the wooden parts of the front door porch and applied a first coat of white gloss, cleaned the moss off the conservatory guttering and finally cleaned out the down-pipe on the garage which backs up at the water-butt feed every year with blossom from the cherry tree. Some of those “I’ll get round to them” jobs most definitely ‘jobbed.’

Wow it sounds like you're the perfect husband to have at home while your wife is doing double shifts. You have achieved such a lot. Happy Easter to you both.
I would have been more impressed if you had made the buns! Lol! however, they do look delicious....and may not have been so perfect if you had made them???? I don't know. Enjoy the rest of your odd jobs! My husband is working his way through a list!
