One of our returning Dahlias. I played with this shot, having both of the flowers and then took the scissors to it; I like both, but have gone with this one as to me it's more interesting than just a pink globe

I think this is great. It reminds me of my dear father of course, growing dahlias in our garden, bringing in a bunch for mother and my little 'sis and I leaping about as the earwigs danced out of the flowers.(Can you get earwigs now?!) You have inspired me, Phil, to take up a lttle bit of high-key again, not having done any for a while and the garden being full of suitable specimens right now.
I cannot imagine anything OTHER than a friendly exchange with @quietpurplehaze !!
