Took this from the Observatory Tower of Lincoln Castle (the tower the Victorians added because the Castle didn't look Castle enough to them) looking down into Castle Square. The Cathedra towers over all of the other buildings and dominates the photograph.

I think I have been there some years ago when visiting Scunthorpe(?) steel works. The hotel was called WHITE HART, more or less opposite of the cathedral.
@mike67 Certainly steelworks in Scunthorpe yes. White Hart Hotel (where Tom Hanks stayed whilst filming Da Vinci Code) is to the left of this photo - the windows to the left of the cathedral are probably the hotel

It was a pity I did not have time to look around. My visit must have been in 2005.
