Eldest Granddaughter, Lucy-anne, joins the 21st Century with her 1st mobile phone (an old phone Carole had with a broken screen that I’ve had fixed). Spent much of afternoon getting it updated and online.
Save her stealing mine and Carole’s to play games ………
Oh my……my biggest regret was giving my son a phone. For a few years he played games and videos and stopped reading books. But it is integral to life these days.
She looks so happy. They are so smart with all the devices. My kids are a little too attached to it, but it is part of their lives.
I remember holding off with my older son going to middle school, telling him the school has a phone and can call us. Till we got homework pages from different classmates send to my phone as the reacher told everyone to take a picture with their phone. So my kid was the only one not able to do so....and the teacher did not make copies. So a phone was becoming part of life and a must.
