Leicester Tigers played Gloucester this afternoon, the 1st match under their new Head Coach following the Rugby Football Unions criminal act of poaching our leading coaches for England after idiotically sacking Eddie Jones.
It was also the inaugural playing of the Slater Cup. Ed Slater at only 31 has recently been diagnosed with motor neuron disease and has had to retire from the game. Ed Captained both Leicester Tigers and Gloucester, and he and Gloucester came up with the idea of a cup being played for each time the two sides played; the games would be also used to raise awareness and hopefully money to fund research into this vicious disease.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
