Busy day today; after being given the green light by the decorator that the pain being removed when I took down the wallpaper was not an issue (he's going to line the walls before painting) I spent much of the day following his technique and have removed all wallpaper from the downstairs hallway and the large drop up the stairs. I'll continue with the upstairs landing at the weekend. Decorator is booked last week in January (for the hall, stairs, landing - lounge is March) so I have time yet.

@beryl When the decorator arrives, I shall simply sit back and watch. I said to Carole last night, if I were doing the actual decorating I'd be in tears with the paint that is coming off. Hardest part now will be Carole chosing what colour(s) she wants
