Came across this old (really old) photograph this morning; taken by Carole on the balcony of our first married quarter in Dhekelia, Cyprus in the Summer of 1983; photograph probably taken before an afternoon shift, a young Signalman (Private) Sandford. I was around 10 stone (soaking wet through) with a 28 inch waist and fitter than I've ever been in my life, before or since ........ never going to be any of those again.
