and everyone was encouraged to wear yellow. It's a bit tricky when you wear a uniform to work though, so I put these beads of my bangle to show my support.
Thank you all for your lovely comments. My daughter wrote a very brave from the heart post on Face Book regarding this (otherwise I wouldn't have known either) and I felt compelled to show my support in however small a way!
@pictureitbig - it was very moving to read and so brave as she has 1400 followers on facebook the majority of which were unaware of her past so I am immensely proud of her
Well, it is uncanny because [won't go into long backstory, just know that a) I'm bipolar II and b) it was a medication issue] but I intentionally overdosed Friday night at about 2am in a suicide attempt. Spend the weekend in the hospital ICU... just 2 days before this "awareness day" happened...
@opalcat So sorry to read this - but delighted you are back on 365 which in itself shows determination and positivity! This is definitely an issue which effects many many families and needs to be brought out into the open so suffers of the illness depressionand and their loved ones can receive the help and support they not only need but also deserve ! Good luck x
