Books Read in August 2023

Mortal Causes by Ian Rankin
Another enjoyable tale featuring DI John Rebus

The Bullet that Missed by Richard Osman
Third in the Thursday Murder Club series - gentle fun whodunnits

The Authenticity Project by Clare Pooley
Following Dr's orders to relax with my leg raised this was a perfect companion. Easy to read and yet entertaining enough to want to keep reading. A novel storyline which I really enjoyed.

The Midnight Hour by Elly Griffiths
The first one I've read in the Brighton mysteries series. Set in the 1960s which made an enjoyable change.

The Serial Killer's Wife by Alice Hunter
A real page turner of a thrillerr I couldn't put down.

Back Trouble by Clare Chambers
Struggled with this one, felt it never really got going!

No Time Like the Past by Jodi Taylor
Fifth in the Saint Mary's Chronicles enjoying the time travelling more with each book in the series I read.

The Night Hawks by Elly Griffiths
Another enjoyable whodunnit featuring Dr Ruth Gallaway

Wow, huge pile last month! The online I've heard of, but not read, is the Richard Osman book but I've made note of the books by Clare Pooley and Alice Hunter for the future.

@kjarn yes lots of sitting around but also been a bit more focused with less unintentional losing time on my phone and more intentional reading!
Good choices as I really enjoyed those - not challenging but definitely entertaining!
