I remember reading about all the different types of cloud formations in a book on the weather, when I was probably 6 years old. I think it was the obsession I had prior to wanting to become a doctor - I was fascinated by storms (hell, I still am), different cloud formations, tornadoes/cyclones, hurricanes, rain, snowflakes, changing air pressures, how the weather was seemingly governed by a few billion charged particles whizzing through the atmosphere, colloding with each other occasionally...
So whenever I look up at this sky, I think 'mackerel'; it is given this name because it looks like the scales on a mackerel fish.

i LOVE this one of the sky--what a perfect description! after trevor's cloud photo, and mine from yesterday, i agree with him--it must be 'cloud week'! fun how all over the world we are turning our cameras 'up' to capture the sky!! (:
It's really the mackerel? That's pretty awesome! I don't remember much about cloud formations, though I do remember reading about them in a science class. This picture has much texture!
Awesome! TERESA just a piece of advice put watermark on your photos, your name, cause as beautiful as this should be kept, you'll never know, someone could have it and named it, cause that already happened to me ( just a friendly advice) =)

And I agree with FaerieMoon - macros are addictive ;) I thought my project was going to be renamed Project 365 Macro at one point ...
