Well I believe she is getting better. She got a box of fabric she ordered and without the assistance of Stu started attacking the box with one hand, a pair of scissors, and a cast to hold it. When I said I would help her with it, well you know the answer. Look at the face and you can see the determination. We will be at ER to stitch her up!
Stu would have been a good helper to open the box. Too bad he is not there yet. I wonder what he is doing right now? He probably broke into his "bag of bananas" and is eating them all. I hope not! I wonder, Katy, what you are going to make with that fabric? I have always wished I could sew!
Katy, take it from me, be careful but be stubborn to a point. You are on blood thinners, right? Makes one be a bit more cautious, right? I have had my son and husband tell me they will do things for me but I fight them as well. My son cut himself on something new he bought tonight and warned me more than once, if I touch it to be really careful. You cannot sit around doing nothing. Love this photo and anxious to see if Katy will be making something as I know she enjoys sewing and has to be getting bored.
@prn I am so glad you read what I wrote about blood thinners to Katy nice and slowly and you are very welcome. Even though we are tested on a regular basis, our blood is thinner than others and just takes a slip and you are cut and bleeding. Our Coumadin Clinic keeps me between 2.0 and 3.0 but recently had it get thinner, 3.8 due to a manufacturer change in my Flaxseed Gel Caps at Costco. (I was taking them for my dry eye problem via my Ophthalmologist who worked with the Coumadin Clinic). It became a nightmare and I do not bruise or show any signs when my blood is too thin or too thick. I ended up stopping the Flaxseed and after about 3 months, I was in normal range again. I hope Katy has been told about diet as well. Seems like all I have to do is look at Broccoli and my blood gets thicker but my Dr wants me eating Vitamin K foods and I had stopped totally as thicker blood is more prone to blood clots or Pulmonary Embolisms like I suddenly got in 2005. No perfect science to any of this and just have to let it go a bit like Katy appears to be doing. I will maybe drop an email if you are reading them or have the time. I want to say more but not on here. Take care of our precious Katy and she is so very lucky to have you there for her.
hehhehehehh now that's a killer look!!!! And determination is what you need to survive the "halo life"....love your attitude, hope you find a way to use your sewing machine, have fun!!
I read this slowly to her. Thank you. She might heed it from a friend.
Take a step forward at your own risk, buddy.
I had forgotten about the sewing, but then remembered the cute clothes she made for the grandkids.
Katy, I love your determination, but please temper it with some caution. Please? :-)
