Away from the light house is a very different story. Wollongong is historically a steel town. I don't know but this looks like heavy industry to me contributing to this busy sky.
I was hoping that the seagulls would take off, but they just hopped around on one leg. Lazy things!

What a fabulous capture and scene, I love the clarity of the gulls. Such gorgeous waves and clouds too, pity about the industry. Next time get Wylie 2 to shoo them away ;-)
And it's that view that people think of when you talk about Woolongong - the lovely beaches seem to be a bit of a secret.. The combo of industry and beach makes for a quite different image - such a contrast from the front to the back.
A great view , or rather two views in one - - the industrial scene on the horizon and its effects on the sky , and the Seagull scene scene claiming what is theirs ! Love the soft colour tones bringing the two scene together ! fav
