Timing is all

Timing is all. For the flowers ; for the pic.Last week this dyke was full of yellow Dandelions ( Taraxacum officinale ) Now we have the balls of ripe fruit and nex week it will be green again .
On the rigth hand site of this dyke there is an inlet ( arm ) of the sea named `` Oosterschelde ``,on the left a small village called `` Wemeldinge `` Many people enjoy the waterside , the beach and her / the boats.
I did have a cycle tour through the country , over the dykes
Very pretty shot of that dyke, glad you are enjoying the spring weather.

Almost looks like snow, but I'm glad it's not! I showed this photo to my kids because we have been reading a short history of Holland and this was the first real dike they've seen - thank you!

Just so nice to look at. the white flower as a child in Germany we call Pusteblume as you can blow on it and see it fly away.

I saw a similar lot today but wasn't driving so couldn't stop for a pic. We always called them dandelion clocks when we were small, the number of blows it took to get rid of all the seeds was supposed to be the time!

I just today found first small leaves of a dandelion for my granddaughter`s guinea pigs, no flowers yet. I was happy for seeing a little green here and the lake free from ice cover! I am in Lahti now.
