A field with beets by pyrrhula

A field with beets

I know I`ve done a harvest but I also like tho share this pic. of beets. It`s very usually that the harvest of the product are done by firms hire by the farmers. You need big machinery ( combine / harvester ) to do the job . So the harvest can been done in for sometimes a month or more . The capacity of the factory is an other reason, the condition of the ground and the percent of sugar in the beets also.
And , if there is no contract ,you have to have a buyer for a good price

Beautiful

I like the light on the leaves and endless "sea" look of the field.

It looks very lush! Nicely composed too.
The car I posted is someone's idea of art, it is actually in a building that used to be our public museum.

Lovely shot of the field - it does look like a sea of plants! Beet farming sounds like quite a complicated business!

Wow... wonderful texture to this shot and nice use of negative space. Cool work.

Nice texture in the shot and there are obviously many factors to be considered when managing the harvest - not simple!

A lovely view - looks like a good crop! We used to have a sugar beet processing factory in York, and quite a lot of farmers around here used to grow beet.

Borscht is an Eastern European soup made with broth and beets. You can eat it either hot or cold, and I like it hot. It reminds me of fall and harvest. When I saw this picture of the beet field, I thought of that soup.
