Beside the cold ( I was pretty clothed ) sitting still was the biggest problem. The distance between me and the bird was at most 1 1/2 mtr. / 5 feet. Even when I moved an eyelid they fly away. The click from the camera did the same and I`ve to wait for a new possibility. I was glad our neighbours was n`t at home They sure would have call emergency .
I think that Lijster-Turdus philomelos is having its supper......You have more patience than I have! My problems with getting bird shots are exactly the same. Top marks for perseverance!
Funny story! I would have liked to hear how they described you if they did come home and see you! Ha! This shot was very much worth the risk and the cold I think. (Easy for me to say - I'm warm!)
Haha I, too, would have called emergency had I been there to see you, Pyrrhula. Maybe that's why I don't take bird shots - I don't have the patience. Beautiful shot, though, and worth the trouble.
de dingen die we doen voor een foto! goed zeg! Ik wilde je nog bedanken voor al de tijd hier samen op het project. Zo leuk om ervaring te delen van verschillende stukken van ons land. Bedankt voor het volgen en wie weet tot ziens!
Love your photo. I see, you do not have much of a zoom. A great photo though. Love the detail you captured. Maybe need the shade and a sunny or bright day outside? I toss out a lot of photos today trying to work with my camera. Had two cameras I loved that stopped working well. Will have to pull one out and see if I can get anything. Had a long zoom. Clarity was getting bad though. I had 30x zoom and that worked for my backyard bird photos. Wish I lived closer would sit with you.
