`` Slapersdijk `` (and road to a farmhouse.)

By reclaiming land from the sea the old dikes are often ( most ) not removed . They are still in use as a second barrier to save the country. We call them: ``Slapersdijken `` Sleepers dikes. This is such a sleepers dike. Instead of usual the road is not on, but beside the dike. The ditch is essential in the system of removing water out of the polder.
Nice shot. I like the perspective.

This is a very interesting technique your country uses, I saw some in the late 80's and was in awe! Nice work

Beautiful shot. This road is so inviting. This reminds me of the road on the dike by a school friend's family's farm.

What a great shot, love the row of trees and how the road tapers of at the top end. Your sky looks ours today.

I like your POV and the triple leading lines of the trees, road and ditch.

Great leading lines and more interesting details about your country. It makes great sense to retain the older dikes as a second line of defence.

Great composition!

What a great shot! The trees and roadway are lined up just in the right spot in the photo. I like the way the clouds look as though they are moving away from the camera.

nice line into your shot

Another well detailed photo, with some very interesting information about your Country...I especially like how all the trees are in a very straight line, and the plowed field seems to be ready for planting....great shot Pyrrhula!

Wonderful perspective!

Great compostion . I reckon I was looking at 10 or more triangles. I like the way the expanse of empty sky balances the weight of the trees.
