...in Roger & Judy's garden. Roger hosted the group this time & we were lucky to have a perfect summer afternoon to sit outside and discuss our book. Their cat was unimpressed.
The yellow blossom is on a Mexican pineapple tree and smells of pineapple. The purple flowers are Madera orchids
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I love the abundant palette of colour availble in your "English Country Gardens" and the variety of shapes. I learn so much from your instructive dialogue supporting the photos. Just so lovely!
@doblaine There seems to be extra colour this summer or maybe that's just being a 365er now & noticing everything. I'm always interested myself in bits of knowledge (even in trying to understand military terminology!) Once a teacher.................-
Mais le jardin, c'est tres anglais! (sauf l'abre d'ananas et les orchidees!). Lovely, colourful collage, peonies to die for (their name?) but try as I could, I can't really read your notes!
@tishpics Yes, a lovely English garden for a French meeting! It was my turn to present a book - La Vie devant Soi - Romain Gary - a favourite of mine & it was well received. I think the peonies (to my non-gardener's eye) are the same as those you photographed a little while ago.
