lysimachia punctata

I've always thought of this plant, which grows in profusion by our little stream, as a sort of yellow nettle. But walking round the arboretum I found it has this name! I like the stripey grasses behind it.
Oh I think I get this in my garden - under a couple of big trees including a walnut - I've learnt to appreciate anything willing to grow there and it's pretty!

No, I didn't know its name either, pretty shot and thank you for the information!

The sense of reversed dof makes it feel as if it goes on forever :)

@quietpurplehaze My fright??

@tishpics Sorry I've deleted that now - it was meant to be for Hope Russell who had some intruders in the night at her house - I clicked on the wrong 'reply' - trust you haven't had a fright anyway!!!

@herussell Hope, thanks for commenting on this and lots of my shots and I hope all is well with you after your fright.

Now, THIS is one I haven't seen (at least not this variety)! Gorgeous yellow against the green.

@quietpurplehaze I think the trouble is over for now. I haven't seen a trace of those fools since I took the photos :)

Lovely layers of colour and textures. Nice how you have captured the rain on the larger leaves also.

@gibnakebira @creativeamateur thank you both for your nice comments - I think yellow is probably my second favourite colour (after purple)!!

@herussell I'm very glad, Hope.

Nice combination of colours, varying heights and textures. If I was Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstal I would probably want to eat most of them. LOL.

@doblaine Now you've got me wondering & I can feel a google coming up of lysimachia + edible!!
