These really are blue but I had trouble capturing the colour. This is the best shot of the colour (with daylight behind the blooms) but still not quite right. The other shots were far too purple - pinky even.

@boogie@judithg Thank you both for appreciation - and help. I found that I could not do much with picmonkey, other than make them psychedelic, so next time I'll just call them purple anyway!
Blue or purple they are still beautiful. True colour is always difficult to pick up. Sometimes I play with the temperature, not always successfully though.
@doblaine thank you kind sir - it was strange to read 'gladys' because that was my mother's name (pronounced Gladiss & of Welsh origin { I think}). She absolutely hated it and my father used to use her second name, May. No relevance to anything here of course but it just reminded me ...............
