This is a very pretty orchid - is this one of your potted ones? My mother grows her orchids in pots also and always brings me over a cutting (which I got my shot from the other night) They last forever in a vase.
Lovely shot Hazel, great focus, you can see the textures and patterns incredibly well. Thank you for the touch of colour - just what we needed. What's you weather been like? We have had NO RAIN today and quite a bit of sun!!
@creativeamateur Yes, this is a potted one but I don't grow mine, I buy them! It's now possible to buy orchids here very cheaply - this one was £4 but that's exceptional. I have had one or two successes with potted orchids reflowering which is a bonus. Does your mum take cuttings to grow new ones?
