Off out on the one sunny day of the week so far. We started saying 'O-U-T' instead of 'out' when we were not taking Jinks with us - but then found he could spell - anyway, no problem this time as the sun came out and we ALL went out. (He still looks a bit suspicious even in the car?!)
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Jinks is so gorgeous! I love his little car seat. Anyway its nice that you are enjoying the sun. Nice pic of you Hazel and lovely colours in the collage. PS. Olivia can also spell - smart dogs!
@creativeamateur Paula thanks for your comments. It's funny too, isn't it, that dogs can learn certain words like 'walk' without actually being taught them?! Jinks sometimes thinks that 'work' has the same meaning..........
Beautifully co-ordinated collage!! Jinks is looking quite pleased with himself in his splendid car seat. I'm hoping Monty can spell B-E-D because that's where he's going to find himself quite often if he doesn't stop woofing at Mr Hedgehog!
@judithg@thursday Thank you! It seems dogs the world over are learning to spell, but B-E-D might be a bit tricky - not a lot of incentive linked to that one!
Nice colour coordination in your "Selfie" with Jinx although I'm not sure Jinx is that pleased about being captured in a doggy straight jacket. The flowers are lovely considering how much sun they haven't had.
@tishpics Patricia, thanks for all your kind words. The shot of me was taken to send to Clare to show her the corsage she made me on my bag. I got Jinks' bed online and it's too small for a sleeping bed, hence it's in the car. In the house Jinks has an upstairs & a downstairs bed(!)
@quietpurplehaze Hi Hazel - am doing this on an old photo because is not for the community. Could you please advise the Pow camp numbers your Dad was in during WW2?
In my genealogy hunt I found a relative who I believe was captured at Trobruk - then a camp in Italy and then 2-3 camps in Poland. Would be interesting if our relatives spent time in same camps or even weirder, knew each other?
I have his diary which recounts from 1st Feb 1945 until then wars end. If you ever want to contact Paula or I our email is davidhp@xtra.co.nz.
Kind Regards
David
