I feel the vet was generous when she described him as a 'Cairn with attitude' as she fetched a nurse to hold him in a 'headlock' (think I have that correct) while she treated his paw. Not desperate, but very sore I guess. (He's growling at me when I put on the cream each day!)
He did manage, as you see, to get up on the sofa to pass a comfortable night but says he's feeling a bit black and white.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
LOL! Luckily we didn't need to 'activate' the collar we got when Monty had his latest foot 'do' because the painkillers were enough to stop the licking - I'm just thinking I could employ it as an examination aid though!

Thanks everyone for stopping by & commenting. Poor Jinks, very subdued and I've remembered what my right hip is for - 'carry-walks'.
As an added annoyance his paw bled on the carpet this p.m.....
@tishpics Well the carry walks are a necessity rather than an outing as Jinks is a NIMBY!!!! So I carry him down the road to the nearest green where he descends and performs and then I carry him home. Things we do............................
Oh, poor Jinks. They hate those collars - Olivia had to wear one for a month and soon realised she could get attention by barging into the back of our legs with it. Hope he gets better soon.
@creativeamateur Gosh that's a long time, a month, to have to put up with one of those collars. Jinks seems to have another problem with his paw bleeding so back to the vet this p.m.
