soon to be 'mixed' (word of the day)

Neil cooked the evening meal for us the day of our return from France. Challenge: name all the ingredients?! The dish doesn't have a name as it was his own creation...................
Hmm - looks yummy - Is that pepper or chilli?!

Yum, yum, yum. Looks like one of Davids creations. Lovely fresh ingredients and is that Choritzo?

Wow, looks yummy!

@judithg Well it's both actually, red chilli and yellow pepper but you would only know the latter by looking carefully at the peelings as it's not on the chopping board!

@creativeamateur Yes, I think we are addicted to chorizo!!!

Lucky you! I bet it was delicious - and it makes an excellent shot for Mixed!

That looks like it is going to be something very nice. Great interpretation of todays word.

Those ingredients have every chance of turning into a fantastic meal! Wish I had cooking talent.

@gnilrets You have, you have! You just haven't discovered it! (Just mix some ingredients together and cooke them - the recipe tells you which ingredients.)

@judithg @creativeamateur @chrismarfil @tishpics @gphelps5 @gnilrets Thanks for all your comments. It was indeed very good - extra ingredients not in the shot were yellow peppers, pork steak cut up and rice.

We have a name for it ``ratatouille ( France) or `` ratjetoe `` Dutch ) Nothing in it I don`t like

Purple onion, red and green peppers, garlic, tomato, chorizo... Nice ingredients for a stew. What's the name of the dish?
October 17th, 2012
@pyrrhula Not ratatouille - but a stir fry of veg, chorizo and yellow pepper (the last two not in the pic.) I'd love to know how to pronounce ratjetoe anyway! I'll ask Anne when I see her next for lunch....

@anazad511 Yes! Well the green is choppped up basil. There were also yellow peppers and cut-up pork steak to go in. It was a recipe made by Neil from what was in the freezer and fridge so didn't have a name - just a pork and chorizo stir-fry you could say! It was very good.

@quietpurplehaze - Sounds great. I love cooking; it's one of my passions. I have been doing a lot of it lately since my mother is visiting, and I like to pamper her with old-fashioned recipes.

@anazad511 Old-fashioned recipes sound really good. I like cooking too but am luck that my son Neil who lives with us, cooks dinner every other night so I don't get fed up or bored with it!
