Jinks' coat has changed colour in his ten years and now he is mostly light but with dark muzzle and paws. (Excuse me Jinks but I picmonkied your contrast a bit.)
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
@gerry@katillac Thanks both for your appreciation! And thank you, Kathie, as I thought Toto was also a Cairn terrier like Jinks but not having seen the Wizard of Oz, I wasn't sure. I don't think Jinks could star in anything as he has too much of an independent mind - to put it politely!
@gerry You are not wrong, Gerry, as Cairn Terriers come in different colours: some are much lighter, called a wheaten colour, and others can be a sort of rusty colour. In fac we had a Cairn terrier before Jinks which was my mother's dog that we took over after she died, and that dog was nearly black! they change colour as they get older too.
What? You have not seen the Wizard of Oz??!! And you own a Toto look alike...lol! @gerry I've been told Rusty has some Carrin Terrier in him too, which is why I am so attracted to Jinks!! :)
@wordpixman I did smile when I read your comment, Arthur as I'd said the very same thing to Ray at breakfast just now as I took yet another pic of Jinks! Especially in this grey weather!
@quietpurplehaze You'd have to be born yesterday to not have an idea! lol!! Let me know when you actually see it. You are going to see Jinks all the time. You may even cry when the old lady takes him ... but (spoiler alert) he will be fine!!
