It's a 'tradition' in our house that Neil and I take turns cooking the evening meal.
Here's a recipe I found recently in a magazine or newspaper and which he has made a couple of times. It's a bit strange not having a list of ingredients given but he says OK when you get used to that!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
@nana2r To cook without following a recipe is probably the height of 'chefery' I think! I hardly dare say that, as well as having a son who shares in cooking dinners, my husband, Ray does the breakfast and often the lunch too................I make all the cakes and puddings!
My partner Steve does a lot of cooking, I thought it was because he liked to cook, so I left him to it - apparently he just likes a cooked meal once a day, since leaving work I have entered the kitchen more :) Nice composition, and the colour of the meal stands out well.
@ness50 Vanessa. I'm glad you are both getting a cooked meal every day! You have reminded me, telling me about Steve, of my grandmother who was always cooking, making cakes, jam and wine as well as cooking the meals. When I was about 12 years old, she confided in me that she had always hated it - I was very disillusioned!
my husband has tried to cook, but never turns out as he imagined and he gave it up. It looks like a great recipe, I agree with you that it seems strange that the ingredients are not listed all together.
Congrats in advance of to morrows 365
