shot from 'underneath': hellebore slate...

..these beautiful hellebores were in pots for sale at the National Trust shop at Mottisfont yesterday.

Thank you to everyone for all views of, and comments on, my photos this week. I always appreciate them and find them interesting, too.

Hope you are all having a good start to the weekend.

Beautiful Helleborus pic taken from a great pov and close up. Did n`t he have a second name on the label ? If you want one of those in future you need that.
I did like the rose down in the middle the best . It`s the same rose from pic. 01-28.

I forgot to take too much notice of the label. It was Ray who remembered it was 'slate' or he thought it might have been 'black slate'. I wonder if hellebores revert to a natural colour as we had purple ones and a lighter mauve one in our garden but now they are all purple.

@quietpurplehaze Most flowers return to the natural state after years . Only if they are : `` soort echt `` the stay
Soort echt = a kind of real , a natural state or the specimen

Lovely pov, they have such lovely muted colours.

Superb, exotic hellebore. You could have used it for the word 'chocolate'! Nice pov, I am still struggling with 'underneath'!

@tishpics

I didn't think of tagging this chocolate! I am struggling with the words for the next few days so I'm doing my own thing until Valentine's Day.
