Thank you for your comment. Well our forsythia is only just opening but on Mon I visited a friend in Winchester, 7 miles away, and she has forsythia fully in bloom.
Lovely! I miss our forsythia, it died a couple of years ago - it was an ancient bush but I think wind-blown weed killer spray from the field reached it and put paid to it. I used to bring bare twigs indoors and watch them burst into flower.
A wonderful sign that spring really is coming. We have a promise of the forecast that winter will be back at the end of the week. To day was nice.

Wendy, thank you for your encouraging comment - these little flowers are not so easy to photograph I find.

I think I'll try your custom as lots of the twigs are still bare. Might even get a photo out of it!
