the forsythia bush in our garden fraternises with the tall conifer hedge, as you can see.

The lovely delicate bloom contrasts so well against the rough bark . Hazel your Forsythia is earlier than mine ,but buds are ready to open any day !!

Thank you for your comment. Well our forsythia is only just opening but on Mon I visited a friend in Winchester, 7 miles away, and she has forsythia fully in bloom.

Lovely! I miss our forsythia, it died a couple of years ago - it was an ancient bush but I think wind-blown weed killer spray from the field reached it and put paid to it. I used to bring bare twigs indoors and watch them burst into flower.

I think I'll try your custom as lots of the twigs are still bare. Might even get a photo out of it!

A wonderful sign that spring really is coming. We have a promise of the forecast that winter will be back at the end of the week. To day was nice.
That is a shadow of on of those trees on that square .
and thanks for being so nice with me and I don`t agree about witch pic is best. I think yours , beside that you was first.
