Walking in the village this morning with Jinks, I noticed that a few single red roses had been tucked into the laurel hedge by the archway to the path leading to the church front door.
It's bitter cold here, with a harsh wind and a light dusting of snow.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Do you always send you weather to us ? ( Kidding ) we have this to day to. Cold.
Love you find and the great capture/composition of the red rose and red door.
Thanks everyone for your views and comments. I've been feeling lousy with a v painful throat and all that kept me going on that icy walk with Jinks this morning was the thought of getting a pic or two for 365!!!!
So sorry about your throat; hope you're better very soon! This photo is absolutely wonderful! Beautiful with the red door and the red rose- and even the snow. Ours is mostly gone at the moment.
Thank you (for sympathy and compliment!) Our snow has gone now but the wind is still bitingly cold. Going to the doc tomorrow - have never had a painful throat like this for so many days and which has not developed into anything.
Just saw your post in "favorite places to go" and I love how you present this church so differently in so many photos. This one is particularly special in how it feels like the viewer is about to turn the corner and walk up to the door.
Thanks for the photo comment and ditto for the weather comment!

I think the rosebud was what drew me to take the shot!
Thank you kindly for your views and comments on my 'church' photos. When we get a blue sky I'm planning to do some more.
