when I found that my already re-flowering orchid had opened one of the buds on a second stem which it's been growing for a few weeks. The orchid lives in the upstairs shower room and must like it there where I often forget to water it.
I also had two MOMs (moments of mirth) today:
1. Had to laugh aloud when on our walk a squirrel suddenly somersaulted out of a tree and landed on the path in front of us. Felt a bit bad having laughed but it quickly righted itself and scampered back up the tree. Jinks missed it all being too busy sniffing in the undergrowth.
2. A small child with its mother in the swimming pool changing room turned to one of the ladies and asked 'Are you a girl or a boy?' I wonder what prompted that question in the child's mind.........
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
A beautiful capture of this beautiful orchid flower. we do have a white one in the living room.
I think the squirrel won`t mind.
It happen to me too sometimes . When I`ve a new class with kids sometimes I can`t see the different. Not always asking the name will make the solution . So I ask ( Very privatly )
Thank so much for comments. I think this is the most spontaneous photo I've posted on 365 - taken and uploaded straightaway. Funny to get so excited over a flower! As for MOMs, thanks for interest and appreciation (and sharing your experience, Ferry.)
Lovely shot. My orchid had dropped all its old flowers when I got back from holiday(lack of water) but there were two new stems with buds and a new flower. Must take better care of it!
Glorious orchid! I liked your MOMs, too! Have lots of those teaching Kindergarten. Ha ha! My favorite: "Mrs. Duncan, when you pass away, I'll teach your class for you." :)
Fav Hazel love the photo and colour I also liked the storys most funny one was the Squirrel proberley Mrs Squirrel, was kicking Mr Squirrel out of Bed to go and find some food lol.
@quietpurplehaze Glad to hear it! Well, there was the student who, when we were discussing and showing the North Pole on a globe, asked me if Santa lived inside that ball. HA! :)
