Aside from breakfast, prepared by Ray in his inimitable way, my first moment of happiness today has to be the opportunity to sit here early and upload this collage I made of recent flower shots.
It's raining heavily and I'm trying to pretend that I haven't got to go out with Jinks very shortly for the morning walk. He's already 'thrown' (with his mouth) one of his tennis balls under the filing cabinet here so I had to get a 12" ruler and get down on my hands and knees and retrieve it for him.
On our trip to Petersfield at the weekend, several people made a fuss of him (as usual) and two people said that they USED to have a Cairn terrier, one of them said she then went on to have a Boxer (less trouble.) I suppose Jinks makes life interesting...........
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Who would think it was your favourite colour --quietpurplehaze !! This is a delightful collage of beautiful flowers were they taken at the garden centre -or do you have quite a few clematis in your garden ! I don't have much success with clematis in my garden except for my 30yr+ Nellie Moser (left mid row !)which is only in bud so far !
How dare people finding terriers troublesome !! --that's part of their charm & as you say make life interesting !!
Thanks, Beryl. All taken in the garden centre apart from a couple in a NT garden. We have one clematis in the garden inactive so far this year! We've met so many people who used to own a Cairn but never got another one - they always love Jinks but always have a reason why they didn't have Cairn no 2!!! And they have fond memories of the first one they had!! Now to brave the rain as Jink's whingeing is getting louder and louder - he has been sitting quietly for a while to give him his due. Have a good day!
Great collage of you favorite flower/color. I don`t have a particular one. Know all the flowers in this collage except : middle right ( next to :Scabiosa , one of my dearest flower ) Crysanthemum ?
Love the collage, the flowers are superb. Love purple too. I am sure Jinks makes life interesting - my first dog was a terrier and she could wear us out with her energy.

That flower was in the garden centre: an unusual aquilegia. Sorry I can't remember its name. I like scabious too - especially when they grow wild.
