The opening orchid bud... by quietpurplehaze

The opening orchid bud...

...revealed that it has more petals than the regular orchid flower: 8 altogether, comprising an outer circle of 5 slim petals in a star shape and an inner circle of 3 petals. Best of all, in the middle of these, is a twin orchid centre. I've never seen this before so will be interested to see if anybody else has ever had a 'double' orchid. Two more buds to open but they are normal size rather than fat.
A really beautiful capture. Love the presentation. Fav
