and his brother, Balfour, live with Clare in Scotland. They are very alike and I only know for certain that this is Cadmus because Balfour disappears at the speed of light when he sees my camera. For the first few weeks after Clare adopted them from the cat sanctuary, Balfour spent a lot of time diving under furniture but he has now, as the expression goes, 'come out of himself'.
Cadmus may not disappear as soon as you take out your camera but he doesn't 't look too pleased with the prospect of having his portrait taken, even though it is a superb shot!
I think he looks a tad mesmerized!
