..........I went to Winchester on a little photoshoot for street scene shots, my homework for the next digital photography group meeting. I planned to visit the Christmas market near Winchester Cathedral. As I approached the main entrance I saw a coffin being taken from a hearse into the cathedral. It seemed not quite the thing to take photos, but then I realised several 'serious' photographers were doing just that. And then, from a tribute on one of three simple all-white floral arrangements laid on the ground near the railings, I knew that this was the funeral of Sir John Tavener.
In another coincidence I followed the funeral cortège out of the city as I drove home around two hours later. http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/add-ins/2013-11-28
I love the Cathedral...when I went to County high, many years ago, we used to have our Christmas Carol Service there, I still remember it with great fondness:)
I bet all of the great and the good were there. He was an amazing man and what a coincidence to follow them on your way home too. Are you enjoying your course?
@jantan
It did all seem a bit strange today. The digital photography workshop finished yesterday (6x2hr sessions) and now I've joined the digital photography group which meets monthly. I did enjoy the course which was v professional and learnt loads - now trying to practise it all!.
Well done on complete ting your course, Hazel, I think I sense some of this coming through in your recent shots. This one is interesting and boldly done.
Thanks - I value your feedback. Ray said 'How did you get in there?' and my answer was 'I just saw the space.' I feel my new cameras and the course have definitely helped my photography.
I like your shot of the photographers
Too many people, too much muddle!

I like the way shots on 365 sometimes unexpectedly bring back memories. It's happened to me, too.
