Hamamelis aka witch hazel

I love these fragrant and unusual flowers which give a bit of bright colour at this time of the year. These are on a little bush in our friend's garden. It's called Hamamelis intermedia 'Robert' and she planted it in memory of her husband, and our friend, Bob.

Your flower Hazel & aren't you lucky to have the same name as this beauty.....that is so beautiful....I don't think I would have known this unless you said. Never seen those pink shoots like that before.

I do not think I have ever scene a witch hazel plant, I did use witch hazel way back when I was a teenager for acne. This is a very pretty flower, it looks like it has long tendrils

I love them. I should have a trip to Mottisfont or Hilliers, especially the latter where they have hamamelis in huge mature bushes in several colours.
