I drove past the piggy farm on my way to meet a friend for a pub lunch. It always interests me to see 3 fields full of little piggy houses and this time I was lucky that several sows had litters.
This litter drew my eye because of the two colours of piglets plus the sow came over to me as soon as she saw me. I love their not quite yet curly little pig-tails!

p.s. Just noticed that my 'feasting on gold' shot from Monday is on PP. Thank you everyone for your enthusiasm for the shot!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
There are rows and rows of them - if there is such a thing as reincarnation I wouldn't mind coming back as a piggy on this free-range farm!!! thanks for the fav.
We used to have pigs in pig houses like these.....made of sort of corrugated iron we used ours for shelter fir the pigs when they were outside but we used to farrow them inside . Love pigs but the were little devils in the field routing all the grass up. I can remember ringing them....we used to drive them into a crate & I used to hang over the top & try & lasso it's head which was a devil of a job because they soon caught on. Eventually we ipused to manage to snare their heads then the next job was ringing them.......sounds cruel & I don't even know wether you are allowed now but it stopped them from making such a mess. Either that or they had to stay inside so once it was done they were better outdoors.
Well! WOuld you look at that! Adorable little piglets. Mom is making sure they stay together. Have never heard of pig houses! Are those gulls in the background? Super capture!
You did make me laugh - and I don't believe a word of it - but thank you for the fav.

Yes, seagulls! I'm beginning to wonder if piggy houses are an English phenomenon - 3 huge fields of these under the Hampshire sky.
I like pigs too! Maybe it was reading Animal Farm which personified them for me.
Sounds like happy memories! I think pigs are reckoned to be very intelligent. They fascinate me.
