My camera was poised to capture the splash as the two geese went back into South Pond. But they glided into the water in the most genteel manner.
This nursery rhyme comes to mind:
"Goosey goosey gander,
Whither shall I wander?
Upstairs and downstairs
And in my lady's chamber.
There I met an old man
Who wouldn't say his prayers,
So I took him by his left leg
And threw him down the stairs."
A lovely capture of the happy couple.When I was child that rhyme made me laugh now I realise it is not so funny but still chuckling at the picture in my head from the book I had.
