On my way back across the meadow from the almshouses I met Hector. He's a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy and sat very obediently to have his photo taken. So obediently that he was almost sitting on my toes. I imagine he thought I had a treat.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
An absolute gorgeous portrait Hazel , full of character - great light and shades and the furrowed brow of the breed is nicely portrayed here . A great capture of those lovely trusting and hopefully waiting look in his eyes, FAV
Aw, I love those dogs though they can be a bit too enthusiastic, especially when fully grown. My friend's dog used to knock me over every time he ran to greet me.
Isn't he lovely, my friend had one too and he was very obedient, such a sweet face but you would not want him to sit on your toes when he gets a bit older, they are huge dogs!
What an absolutely beautiful little face!!! I know these dogs are used for hunting, but with a face like that he'd just have to be my fur baby and "PET"!!! Wonderful details, lighting and color!! Makes me just want to HUG him!! FAV!
Joyce, thank you - Hector was so lovely and well-behaved for a puppy.
Beryl, thank you - could have taken him home with me!!
Me too!
I'll have to start carrying doggy treats, I think!
