feeding the swans

I imagine these two ladies and their two dogs live locally and are used to feeding the swans. For my part, I'd feel a bit foolish if I were sitting there, scared even, especially seeing the swan lurking behind the seat!

Oh my goodness Hazel!! Finlay would be trying to attack the swans and would then make them aggressive!! No way could I sit like this!! They seem oblivious to the swans - they must be local as you say!! Great candid capture!!

The swans round here are not so friendly!! I love to see these two happily feeding them. They will be gaining so much pleasure from it.

Great candid shot. Those geese look like they are up to something. I hope they didn't go crazy and attack the poor ladies later on.

They look quite tame (the swans, I mean). I'm not sure I would be sitting there very relaxed!

Lovely capture and they seem at home with the swans, I don't trust them.

The little dogs are obviously used to being near the swans too Hazel.....must be a regular date! Swans become very tame when fed often like this, the swans at Bo'ness on Windermere nearly sit on your knee!

Clearly I don't know enough about swans to be scared of them, but I like your shot.

Great candid of those lovely ( animal lovers) brave Ladies .
But we get the warning ; do n`t feed swans and geese with bread. That`s no good for there health. They `ve to eat grasses.

@pyrrhula

That's true and it teaches them also not to look for food themselves!

Wow, that is quite the collection of creatures. I can't imagine how my dog would react to all that but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be sitting quietly!

@quietpurplehaze I think it's because the public feed them so they get very confident around people.
