We came out of the cinema at Worthing the other week to find the rain had stopped so we had a good walk along the beach.
We'd gone to see '45 years', a film about a couple approaching their 45th wedding anniversary (we'd celebrated ours the month before). The film had good reviews but we both found it extremely tedious and I found myself nodding off - just once or twice you understand!
Lovely shot.
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.
One of my favourite poems and I very often quote John Masefield as I walk along our local beach.
Mum introduced me to him when I was a child and I loved The Midnight Folk and The Box of Delights. I have passed them on to my daughter and now Will her son has just read Box of Delights too. fav
don't be afraid to put some human elements in your landscapes haze. Would love to have seen Ray stood at the end of the boardwalk looking out to sea. He would have broke the skyline and acted as a link between boardwalk, sea and sky. He could even have sat down if he was too large in the frame
nice mono btw

as to nodding off during a tedious film,... well ,,, we all do no matter the age
The film '45 years' had favourable reviews in our newspapers.

You could go and tell me what you think, Bep!!!
A thought for another time, Phil, thanks. Would have to choose a dry boardwalk in case he had to sit down!!
