We had a walk in the local Stoke Park Woods and I thought I might find one of those red toadstools with white spots, fly agaric I think they are called.
No luck but, instead, I found bright red holly berries, autumn leaves, sunlight through tall trees, chestnuts in their cases and, just as we were coming out of the trees at the end, this squirrel eating a chestnut.
Its mate, or friend, sat in the next tree making that noisy squirrel warning as I took a few shots.
A gorgeous find and a lovely focused capture of this delightful Squirrel , Hazel . He is enjoying his find and no doubt storing up for winter ! . A lovely bokeh in the background ! fav
If you go down to the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go down to the woods today
You'd better go in disguise!
Adorable picture. Fav. Did you meet any teddybear?

Rosie, thanks. I can't resist them either - when I can find one!
