This amaryllis is in the beautiful floral arrangement created by the lady who was adamant she did not want her portrait taken. I even offered, politely of course, to have one of her flower arrangements in the background.
My Haze's strangers' portrait project seems to proceed in fits and starts.
Beautiful flowers. A friend of ours has just given us a cutting from his amaryllis plants. We have split it and it is growing beautifully even in our heat at the moment.
A neighbour of mine years ago called her daughter Amaryllis. Not sure I would fancy it for a name and I wonder if the daughter, who will now be grown up, still calls herself by that name.
It's interesting, Paula, that I've only had 2 or 3 refusals in 33 requests.....
I think, on the whole, folk are also quite trusting. I mean, nobody has ever suspected me of ulterior motives in taking their photo!
