catching the rays

As the sun was setting over the sea, this seagull was standing on the roof of a car in the beach car park at Hastings.

I liked the way the sun's golden rays lit up his feathers.

He stayed still long enough for me to get a shot.

Arthur, thank you. This photo got me thinking that sometimes you get lucky with just one shot but other times, as with my post of myself for flashofred today, it takes several shots and lots of processing to get a result. I'm often saying to Ray that I am going to take fewer photos but I don't seem able to stick to it!
