A couple of years ago I spent a long w/e @ Winchester with 2 girl friends. High on my list were W Cathedral & College. Neither were disappointing. 2 mornings @ Matins in the side chapels, warmly welcomed by the regulars were uplifting experiences. We were 3 for the tour of the College and benefited by seeing aspects not shown to large groups. Wonderful guide, fascinating history and customs...if you can, do go!
