Confirms what I've always thought about Seagulls they will eat anything from fish&chips to ice creams and in this case a little fruit, well spotted Hazel a nicely composed and captured image:)
These juvenile Herring Gulls have neither charm nor manners! In my youth...yonks ago, I remember, a gull swooping down and taking the sandwich from my brother's hand as he had it leant on the open window of the car (picnic inside due to torrential rain). Nothing changes ;-)
Thank you Margo - we have two 5-star reviews on Amazon now. I don't look to make money from this venture as I am donating to the Red Cross, but it would be nice to know that a few people have read my dad's story. Already, in sending out the 'round robin' email, I have heard from folk who had not been in contact for some time.
It's a juvenile seagull and quite different from an adult in appearance.
Part of his 5-a-day?!
Margo, I appreciate your comment very much. When you have come to the end, if you feel moved to put a review on Amazon, that would be very welcome.
In Wast Bay notices are up asking folk not to feed the gulls as they have become aggressive.
Yes and I understand this diet is very bad for them and teaches them to stop foraging for their 'proper' food.
