We had a trip to The Vyne, a Tudor Mansion, now owned by the National Trust who are undertaking a £5.4m project called Lifting the Lid to restore and replace the roof. We went on the walkway to view the work.
In the grounds of The Vyne Estate, all was tranquil.
What a pretty place to walk. It looks so peaceful. The different colours of trees works for me. I am not a green tree person. At the moment the colours of our trees are amazing. The jacarandas and Illawarra flame trees are flowering and David's favourite tree the silky oak is in full bloom. add to that the gorgeous colours of our Christmas bushes and everywhere is so colourful.

Am reliably informed that HMQ always had a £5 note in her handbag. Given that this was some years ago...and if the practice still exists, I imagine that the current sum will have increased in line with inflation. ;-)
It was indeed a beautiful day and the sun shone all the time we were at The Vyne.
I am like the Queen when I go out with my camera: I take no money with me!
