A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I’m not too sure if it is foreign. A google search reveals that there are many different native ladybirds some with quite a lot of spots. Hard to tell one from t’other but the foreign ones are carnivorous.....ugh
@quietpurplehaze Jolly hard to tell, isn't it? The older I get, the less I can focus on tiny details like that too LOL!! Definitely don't want to get bitten by a foreign one, that's for sure!
@quietpurplehaze Eww, how horrid! You poor thing, not nice. Infiltrators in nature always seem to do damage whereas most things are fine if you leave them in their usual environment.
What a bonus a ladybird and a fly by the look of it too. I love ladybirds, they always remind me of Zoe, she loved ladybirds. @casablanca We have 'foreign' ladybirds here, well they aren't foreign to us, but they would be foreign to you. Never counted the spots though, will have to check next time I see one.

I walked into a swarm of them once. It was not nice. (Apparently they eat other lady birds.)
