I am not even sure if this qualifies as an abstract.
But by coincidence, last evening, cooking the dinner, I had a fire in the kitchen. I do not want to disclose my idiocy which caused it but when those flames shot up and out of the grill space I felt mesmerized, helpless and scared.
I knew I had to do something and did deal with it, somehow, but it's the most I've been frightened in a very long time.
All's well that end's well and it was a salutary experience.
Glad to read that you are allright, fat and flames is not a good combination. Incredible that you could take such a nice picture afterwards.
Take care of yourself.
A stunning image and rather mesmerising. It sounds as it you tried to make crepe suzette with too much alcohol ;-). So happy all turned out well in the end.
Love it, nice shot. Sorry about the fire, sounds scary. glad all ended well though.
My daughter has a sign in her kitchen that says 'when the smoke detector goes off dinner is ready' Sorry, couldn't resist it.
When we first got married David was making cheese on toast under the grill and wandered off in the garden, forgot about the toast and luckily I could smell the smoke before things got too drastic.
Thank you for the great comments on my abstraction shot! Luckily when the flames erupted I soon remembered 2 large towels in the next-door utility waiting to be taken back upstairs and they served well to smother the flames. Very scary indeed but I knew it was down to me to so something!
Thank you and it was very very scary Ivan - I'll be very careful next time cooking sausages! (I personally don't even like them all that much!)
Take care of yourself.
Jacqueline, thank you. I had made the photo before the fire -perhaps it was a bad omen! I am not superstitious but perhaps I should have been.
Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Yes, be prepared with a photo before the calamity! I'll be ultra careful in the kitchen in future..........
'Altered reality' makes me smile - thank you!
