If Ray is my photographic accomplice, then I must be his gardening accomplice - but not a very good one: I always choose to buy the plant in a pot which has the most flowers and I understand this is not the best rule of thumb.
The poppies and lavender at the nursery were amazing and photogenic.
What about your man Hazel... is he not photogenic? I'm certainly not convinced by that pale blue shirt against the pinks and reds.. but of course I nothing about colour! :-)
I really like this photo for three reasons Hazel. First to see Ray there looking much taller & slimmer than I imagined him to be. Second the choices of flowers & third such stunning colours. Fave.
Phil, I am in no way a gardener - no special tips or hidden secrets in my knowledge base!!!! Ray did not even realise he had been advising me and just said he chooses 'stronger' plants when I asked him. So there is another obvious 'tip'!
Dianne, that would definitely be nice!
He did buy a plant: an Angelonia - looks like a snap dragon and has flowers in blue and white - new to both of us
Yes, he's very photogenic but not the star here! As for the shirt, well.............
Hey thank you for those comments. Ray has always been slim probably a bit more so now. The flowers were indeed lovely.
No, a nearby nursery! But we do have a nice garden.
Maybe because they will soon 'go off' and it's best to get one coming into flower which will last longer!
